Right Front brake seized/hanging up

So apparently my right front brake caliper is seized up which is causing the vibration I'm getting, this happens until my warped rotors push the pads apart enough so they dont touch anymore but once I use the brakes again and get back up to speed it will start all over but anyway its been doing this for about 3 weeks and now I dont have any break pad left at all, so I need to fix it right now. I learned it was the caliper when I took it to get aligned because I though thats what was causing the vibration. When I asked the guy at the alignment shop if it could just be a collapsed brake line he told me something like if I turn the bleeder screw and the caliper release its the caliper thats bad and I need a new one, but if it doesn't its the line (hello SS lines :lol: ) does that sound right? can anyone elaborate I don't want brake fluid every where? and wheres the bleeder screw? I visually inspected my lines and they all look ok.

So 1. If its the line il do SS lines and ask more about that later

2. If its the caliper then what do I do? Find a new one? I change my own pads its not much harder to take the caliper off is it? and just put a new one on? and I guess I should do SS lines too while I'm at it.

Having a hard time reading what you wrote, but the caliper comes off with the two bolts on the inside of the hub and the bolt holding the brake line (banjo bolt).

The bleeder screw or valve is on the back side of the caliper (might have a tiny cap on it), and an 8mm wrench should fit over it. What you do is put some aquarium air tubing on the end of the bleeder valve so the brake fluid goes where you want it to when you "open" the valve with your wrench.

As far as your options, you can rebuild the caliper (I would recommend against this), buy a rebuilt caliper or buy a new caliper. Either way you need new front brake pads and also have your front rotors turned.

Ok so I'm pretty sure I can change the caliper myself. Where would you recommend getting a caliper from? ... Someone on here has to have a working 2 pot laying around they don't want

The 98-99 legacy GT, Forester and 2.5 RS 2 pots are identical correct?

So I found a caliper around here for under $20 I'm gunna go get it tomorrow or tuesday and pic up/order some type of performance pads haven't decided what kind yet.

What happened to the search bar? Any one have a DIY on changing brake fluid/doing SS lines? Which i have learned is different from just bleeding the brakes. The only one I found in the DIY's was this viewtopic.php?f=39&t=5548 (http://www.sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=5548). If I can't figure it out is there a good place to get your brake fluid changed and SS lines installed? Would some place like midas be better with it than any old shop?

Also I have had metal on metal contact and would like to get new rotors my budget dictates that I will probably just get napa/auto zone rotors but do napa/auto zone budget and or premium rotors have curved veins? or are they strait like the OEM? I know brembos are curved but thats about it thats almost worth the price to me if I had the money.

Duralast rotors are just fine. The search bar still exists, its at the top right in the SLI header logo. Kinda hard to see unfortunately.
