Okay, working on a 98 Legacy, on the shift linkage where it goes through the floor, at the very back part of the linkage, there is a rubber bushing that bolts to the chassis and supports the rear of the linkage. I'm wondering if someone has the part number for this, as I'm not sure how I'm going to explain this part to the Subaru dealer.

Thanks in advance.

I dont have an oem part number, but its the rear shifter bushing. If the parts guy there doesn't know what you are talking about he shouldn't be working there.

I could say that about most of the guys working at that stealership lol. The problem is that it is a Chevy, Cadillac, Toyota and Scion dealer as well as a Subaru dealer, so even if it is a common thing they usually don't know. I was hoping to get the part number so I could just forego the dealer and go to one of the online OE parts dealers. Oh well.

Since I already have this topic started, is there an aftermarket poly bushing for this or is it OE only?

Thanks
