my knock sensor went bad, can everybody tell me were is it located?
i have one mor question, does the knock sensor makes the car go slowly on hills?
i was going to the mountains and the car started like shaking a little bit, then the check engine went on, today in the morning when i started the car the check engne light went of, and the car gain the power again. should i buy a regular(stock) knock sensor??

If you are standing at the front of the car, look just to the right of the throttle body and straight down to the engine block and you will see the knock sensor. It is bolted to the block with a single bolt and has 1 wire. They are a very common failure on pretty much all Subarus. If it fails it will make the car much, much more sluggish at lower engine speeds (<3000rpm or so) because it retards the ignition timing to a "safe" point.
Subaru parts are usually preferred because the parts store stuff is usually not that reliable.
