Help Wheel Dilemma!!!

hey guys as most of you saw i had my car for sale but for some reason i just cant sell it. anyway i have a set of super rare bbs wrx option wheels and i got an offer to trade them. the offer on the table is 17x7.5 rota sdr's + rota torques + $400. what do you guys think? i love my bbs's and know one has them. but at the same time i want to change up the look of my car a bit, i dont have the money to go out an buy another set of wheels.

in my opinion i would keep the BBS's. they look really good on your car. especially if ur one of the few people that have them

Yeah, if you're getting 2 sets of good wheels AND cash on top of that, I say go for it. Is that powdercoat or spraycan for that gold color? To me, original colors are worth more than whatever pc/paint so that would detract from the value of those wheels.

Rarity and weight aside (they weigh like 15lbs ea.), they're not all that special, and to me at least the 17x7 is somewhat restrictive on tire selection. Also, I've been through running expensive wheels on a daily - I didn't like it, too much worrying for me. The wheels don't make the car, they are part of the whole package so some rotas that compliment a daily driver, that I don't have to worry about scratching or denting is fine by me :smt023

I vote take the trade. BBS's are nice, but they're no good without a car to roll on. With 2 sets of wheels and cash, you'll be able to swap wheels whenever you like to change it up a bit. AND, if you really want, you can sell one set for some extra cash.

I only voted trade because you're selling the car. Otherwise I'd say keep them - the BBS's are much nicer than the Rotas!

(i hope that makes sense haha) so even if the bbs's are rare, its more important you like em.
and even if its a really good deal, if you dont like the wheels then whats the point lol

^^thanks but its not not a great deal. the bbs's sell for 700 each and rotas are like 170 each.

I say trade em.. sure lots of people dont have the BBS's.. but really, like it was states before, once they are PC'ed or painted or anything.. they arent worth too much anyways. Sure they LOOK great.. but you can get other cheap rims that look great as well, and you wont have to worry bout beating them up.. which WILL happen at some point or another.

^^ yup, curbing or scuffing a less-rare set of wheels is a lot easier on the heart than a rare set. Besides - they're wheels. They're supposed to be used, driven on. Otherwise you have a garage queen, which is pretty boring. It's like leaving a racehorse inside the barn.

I would keep the BBS because they look like sex! I'd take those over the sti bbs wheels even though they are 1/2" narrower and might not clear the brembos.
