I just found one at a steal and it is from an 02. If there is only minor modifing I will take it, just let me know what I am in for please. Borla aftermarket. Thanks!

Just looked under the car here at work with a flashlight and it looks like the bends run the same. The hangers might be different, but that can be fixed.

Can someone post a pic of the stock or aftermarket one for our bds?

i know it wont bolt up exactly, but thats about all i know.

guys have definitely had WRX exhausts modded up to fit but you'd have to take it to a muffler shop to get it done. if its still a good enough deal i say go for it!

It will need to be lengthened, the midpipe flange will have to be rotated and a few of the hangers need to be moved. Its a bit of a job, but can be done.

I figured since you do not see to many legacy owners buying wrx exhausts. Does not sound like to much and I have a welder friend so I am in good shape. :)

The guy said 2.5 inch and I got there and it is 3"! I was not leaving empty handed after driving an hour and a half so................I am going to try to put this on my car!! I had 3in on my 240 sx with no problems.

I offered him 50 bucks since he lied and picked up flange bolts w/ springs, exhaust gasket, 18" extra 3in, with flange and another exhaust clamp. The exhaust comes apart, so rotating the flange is really easy. It should be a good addition (but loud) to my n/a build. :smt029

you might wanna sell the 3" after you read up on why 2.5" pipes are the max our N/A 4cyl cars handle well.

you should talk to Airgne because i know he runs a 3" full system and it is LOUD. but like mike said, out cars like the 2.25 and 2.5.

still a steal for $50 bucks though! (i would have bought it too)

Where can I find the info? After I put it on I will do the backflow test. Hell if it does not work I will sell it for more than I bought it for!

i wonder if you could just cut out a section and replace it with some 2.25 piping if it would help a little, maybe get a 2.25 or 2.5 resinator and add it i the middle i think it would work pretty good cause 3 inch is to big you will have no acceleration and i think you can get burnt valves or something

the wrx axle hangers do not line up i have mine hanging from one end hanger but it's not going anywhere. simplest way to do a catback is to cut your stock exhaust after the the connecter after the cat and then cut the end off the catback and slide one pipe onto anyother and use a exhaust clamp works good.
word of advie i would stay away from the wrx catbacks just because they all develop a ridiculous tweet.

The hangers don't really line up on the borla. I had to bend the one closest to the flange down out of the way. The one in the back does not line up to the rubber hanger, but fits amazingly secure in the rear tow loop. I am getting more hangers soon.

i have a wrx exhaust on my BK and have the dreaded tweet.. :smt020
i paid 70 bucks to have it installed the mechanic modified 2 hangers and added a 1 1/2 ft of tubing.
but now i have the correct location of the axleback flange and have many more options muffler wise.
