ej20tt - subaru noobie

first of all I'd like to say hello, and sorry if this is the wrong place to post this

i bought my first subaru last summer.
a 1994 bd5 subaru legacy ej20tt 5sp.
here is a pic for the curious,

i'm at the point where i need to look for a new fuel pump for it.
so i figured i'd ask the brains on this forum which fuel pumps are compatable for this engine set up...
i believe it is the ej20h not the ej20r that i have
can i use the same pump as the pump from the 2.0L gc8 or any other legacy?
or if anyone has used the Walbro 255lph fuel pumps in their legacies.
I know this isnt a very common car in north america, so if anyone knows any extra info it would be appreciated

The walbro is a common swap in the 1st generation (US) turbo Legacy (we didn't get any 2nd gen turbocharged Legacys sadly). Really, it's overkill unless your ride is significantly upgraded from stock. Stock flows more than anything except the new 265hp WRX model and any STI models. But then again, the pump in these older Legacys are, well, old, so I can see the logic in getting a brand new pump as preventative maintenance.

mine is a 2nd gen twin turbo. i'm looking for a new pump because mine died. and walbro is the only one i can find online that is specifically for my car. does anyone know if any north american models share the same fuel pump? Otherwise I will have to get the uprated pump from walbro. My car is pretty stock under the hood. but with the ~250hp from the car i dont see how it would hurt. just trying to cover the basics.

Walbro's are good, they do not last too terribly long compared to OEM replacements. In fact, I've been told you aren't supposed to run your tank down too low as the Walbro's are cooled by the fuel around the pump. No fuel, no cooling ----> overheating and short lifespan. You might want to look into an EJ22T fuel pump, for a 1991-1993 Legacy Sport Sedan or Touring Wagon. I have an EJ22T fuel pump in my 1997 Legacy with a custom turbo setup. I have a Walbro ready to install if the EJ22T pump ever dies but I'm in no rush to install it as the older EJ22T pump does just fine for me and my turbo setup.
I'm curious, where did you manage to track down a RHD EJ20TT Legacy in North America? Are you in Canada?

i was doing some tests today on the car and havent fully ruled out the fuel pump as my problems. but it may be something different. but doesnt mean i dont want to know the answer to the question. the oem should be cooled by the gasoline as well. its the same set up. as far as i know, every in tank fuel pump is cooled by the gasoline inside. i do live in canada, and i import cars directly from japan every year. its my first subaru, i usually bring in toyotas. but you have respect for that car in particular, so i couldnt pass it up

STi fuel pumps will work fine as well.
