Headers not clearing oil filter? Ebay link inside

Does anyone know if these headers will fit and are worth the money?

I know i have the same engine but I have seen postings on here were guys have bought ones similar to this and they did not fit around the oil filter. I am just concerned about them fitting properly. Does anyone know what something like these is like compared to the borla knockoffs?

Also I noticed that on the ones I posted they have a 2inch outlet and on the ones SLi-noob posted they are 2.5 inch outlet....which one would be better.

Link to where people are having problems with the headers fitting due to oil filter? The 2.5 is generally considered to be the largest you want to run on an otherwise stock N/A motor. With 2" pipes you aren't creating a freer flowing exhaust, just making more noise.

The problems with clearing the oil filter are because the header manufacturer didn't spend enough time on Q+A.

you won't know until you buy them, but you can simply bend them a little to make them fit a bit better if required.

I guess what my question is, is will the 2.5 inch outlet and flange on the headers I ordered connect up the the flange to the stock cat?

Keeps the exhaust gasses hotter, which makes them exit the exhaust system faster, which is good.

I ordered the speedyracer headers and I never had to bend anything at all on the head studs it just went right in... also my oil filters work so far I tried Bosh and Purolator.

I would give you some but I got exhaust leaks which should be gone within a few weeks.. but with the little bit of leaks you can feel a little rumble

Haha I have exhaust leaks too. 214k on stock exhaust isnt friendly. Makes my motor sound like ass. But soon Ill have exhaust.

I ended up selling the ones that didn't clear the filter and i'm looking for new ones! don't buy from AMK!!!

The OBX is half ass. You'll have to cut the resonator out and have a cat welded in if you want to remain smog legal. Otherwise, go for it, you'll get more power out of the OBX.

REALLY wish I had sold my old 1998 LGT with the stock manifold on it and kept the TWE, so one of you lucky people on here could have it instead for inexpensive...

There is no way the obx is worth the price 300 bucks for headers with a cat just get the speedyracer ones (the second link down on the page) will fit your car and are a 1/3 of the price.

someone on rs25 sells them for $350 which are out of my range . haha

wonder if i can make those dual ports fit the single port, by cutting the dual and welding a single port where it connects to the head?
