AT "neutral safety switch

So, my newly acquired 98 2.5 gt is my first auto in about 10 years and the day after I get it, the check engine light comes on. I scan the code and it is 0152... er something like that. neutral switch. I look it up and understand what it is. I am just wondering how to test it properly to see if its that or something else in the transmission that could be causing it. The car runs fine, shifts fine, its a cherry for being 12 years old. What's your guys take on this?

well first off the actual code being thrown would be helpful. instead of "er whatever"

and as far as whats gone wrong, it sounds like your neutral safety switch is defective.
