So I've added cruise control to my 97 Legacy wagon. It's not working. I followed the FSM service instructions to the very word. I swapped all the peices mentioned and even swapped out the brake sensor that mine already had. I can hear the circuit kicking in but I get no light on the dash and it isn't working as I drive. Any help? Thoughts?

Here's the FSM Instructions just so you guys can look through it

Thanks in advance for the help...

Does the cruise control module match your transmission? I tried an automatic module in my manual car, and could hear the relay click, but no effect. Replaced it with a manual transmission module, been working great ever since.

Yes. It's a manual model. I am just wondering if it's because it came from a 99 outback 2.5 liter. My car is a 97 Brighton 2.2L. I'm going through the FSM troubleshooting diagram right now. Looks like I need a different control module

Might make a difference. I went with the module that went with my car, not the swapped engine. My motor came from a Forester, which had the impreza style cruise control, so I had to swap a couple things off the motor itself to make it work in my 96 legacy (using all legacy parts from another 2.2 legacy).
