cleaning heated seats

how do you clean a heated cloth seats. my 13 year old dog had an accident, and went #2 on my passenger seat. i don't know the proper way to clean it since it is heated and i don't want to do any damage to the heating element. any advice would be great.

At least you have cloth seats, not suede. after you get the doodoo off, spray down the seat with water (with your seat's wire disconnected) put some mechanic hand cleaner (petroleum based stuff napa sells, not gritty stuff like gojo) and rub that in really good. Then rent/borrow a carpet cleaner with an upholstery attachment and clean the "crap" outta the seat. I wouldn't plug in that seat back in for a couple of days to make sure it's really dry. If there's still a smell, get 2 bowls of cheap vinegar and place one bowl on the front seat and one on the back, and leave the bowls there over night (or 2) with the windows closed. That'll get rid of any traces of the smell.

it is only on the bottom of the front pass seat, and i wiped most of it up with paper towels, i think i will just get some carpet cleaner for cars and try that, thanks for your input
