I apologize if this is the wrong forum. I have a 96 Legacy L SOHC BD w/ 4eat. Would it be possible to swap this motor in?

Will the transmission hold up or is that a no go? Or any other suggestions. I can't think of anything I can really do to a SOHC Legacy to get more power.
