$150 bux each? Where the hell are you searching at. Find someone parting out a car of the same model year, but the skirts, get them painted, call it a day. You can definitely get them for UNDER $150 painted for both.

And yeah.. if you live anywhere where they salt the roads.. like here in NE... those rocker panels would last about 2 years before the salt seeped into the holes and completely rust your rockers out.

I suggest if you DO plan on keeping the skirts off.. to go and buy some brand new 'bar and chain oil' and pour the oil through a funnel or something into the rocker panels.. this will keep rust from growing and stop any rust that may already be growing.

Actually you'll get rust either way - the factory bolts/screws rust out over time and allow rust into the rocker panel. Without the BOLTS in (something blocking the hole) you'll just accelerate the process.

If you remove your sideskirts for winter duty, you should be installing mudflaps AND some kind of protective layer (heavy duty vinyl would be good) over the holes along with maybe using plastic plugs.

And dont forget the oil! The oil WILL stop the rust.. and will protect it from future rust. Its really the best way to protect against it if you have exposed metal. Remember.. metal loves oil!

yeah.. i would check out the local junk yards.. or hell.. even people on here parting their cars out.

I would just pour some directly in the holes.. its not going to hurt anything.. its oil. It will just be a mess for a little while IF any comes out... but big deal, so long as its saving the metal. That's how they do proper / good undercoatings.. with brand new bar and chain oil. It will stop rust from growing.. and prevent any future rust as well.. as long as you get it properly oiled.
