What's the best H4 halogen headlight bulb?

so i'm looking to brighten up the bulbs that came in my JDM non-projectors. Has anyone had any luck with a specific brand or bulb? any info would be greatly appreciated!

I'd go with Osram's or Phillips. Those are two brands that are high quality and are very bright.

see i've just heard that the osrams burn out pretty quickly compared to some others. what specific bulb do you run?

Osram Nightbreaker burns out quick. Phillips Xtreme Power is what im running now. 1 year and still going strong.

Xtreme powers look really good, how much of an upgrade are they over stock? any pictures of them on your car?

Just keep in mind that the brighter the bulb, the hotter it burns, the shorter a lifespan that it has. It's just the compromise that you have to make to get increased light output.

I have a set of Phillips VisionPlus that have like literally less than 5 hours of use on them (theyre comparable to the +50% bulbs like silverstars, or one step below the Xtreme power). If you want it, it's yours for pretty cheap.

If he wants to blind everyone he is behind or is passing. You cant just simply aim your headlights down either. Creates way to much light for the Halogen housing to properly aim. To do it right he would have to retrofit some projectors in there with the correct cut off

i would rather have halogens than HID's unless i have some retro-jdm projectors. I'll probably go for the philips xtreme just because they're cheap enough compared to the others and i've heard great things about them.
i'll let you guys know they work out!

Retos are hyped, I see so much better now than before. My cutoff line is fine and I haven't been flashed.

what HID kit do you have?

The same one I sell, JD Lighting. And I only have a 35watt kit. Kinda wish I did the 50 but I'm happy with what I got. Lets just say my "high" beams seem like my low beams now.

For HID i use vvme.com 35watts. Regular igniter/converter, never the slims they die after about a year.
Halogen i use the xtremepower/nightbreaker. When the xtremepowers die i get osram replacement bulbs until i get new bulbs from the UK. Can't get the xtremepowers here.
