Hello everybody there!

well, it's very very nice to see this great forum intended specially for Legacy fans :newb:

I'm from Poland and now studying in Germany. Since 2003 I've drivn the 1993 Legacy 2000 GL 4WD sedan with automatic transmission. I'm very happy with her, love the style&ride of the old 1gen Legacys and I'm gonna stay with her and on this forum as long as possible.

Since the car has its age, some repair was necessary, but the things go lucky (I'm only a poor student haha  ) and it looks and drives much better than when I got her. I'm working right now on rusting rear quarter panels and making some mods at the tail. I'll try to post some pics later.

So CU soon and cheers... :smt039

Where are you studying in Germany? I was born at Hahn Air Base, when it was still active. Lived all around Ramstein, Kaiserslautern, and the Kastellaun area (South west-ish)

Hi guys, thanks for the welcome.

so im already on the sl-i map, its cool, looks like until now I am the only one from continental Europe (apart from UK members).

Im studying in Zittau, Sachsen (Saxony), its south east Germany where it meets Poland's and Czechs Republics borders, the region is called Dreiländereck (threelandscorner ?) :D

But I found my Legacy in Bayern (Bavaria) when I was in an intership. There's quite a lot of these cars bcause of Alpine surrounding I think. Therefore I got it with a set of stock steel rims with winter tires on them. But the last owner didnt care much of the car, so a lot of service had to be done (brakes/fluids/tires/sparks etc.) just for the start. And after summertime there was some bodywork (doorpanel, painted front bumper). For the next summer I got a nice set of rims, unfortunately only 15", I wish I had at least 16" :?

Anyway, last spring we had here in my hometome strong hailstorm and my car suffered too :( thanks god no glassdamage only some dents. I had a luck to find another Legacy exactly same type & color and got a hood and trunk lid for my baby. Still there are some traces on the roof and front fender. I hope whole body painting some day :)

So last summer I got also a correct front bumper with fog lights, white taillights, LED parking lights and made a custom grill. In November the transmission has been overhauled too. Now getting rid of rust on back wheelwells and gonna change rear lighting.

OK its time to post some pics, here we go:

these are last summer pics

Thanks for looking and please leave nice comments, cause a lot of work still has to be done :P

cheers !

hey, repost these pictures in Member's Rides I also :)

Looks much nicer without the tan bumper :)

Oh, and that's a very interesting trailer hitch you have there.

ok, I reposted pics in Members Rides.

Well that bumper was from pre facelift Legacy so even after repainting it matched not at all.

haha what is so interesting in that trailing hitch? :-D Once I had a doll"s head with long blond hair on it, but some kid has it stolen.

hey nice to see a German Legacy! I was in Frankfurt/Suttgart for 3 weeks in August and only saw a few Subarus. Viel Glück mein Freund!

<--- you can see the German license plate my uncle gave me while over there

Danke Dir mein Freund! ;-)

regarding the german license plates, once I had a one like this: ZI-ZI 100 :-D but only for a month, then I hit an idea to import the car to Poland. Unfortunately I didn't make any pix :(

No need to get all huffy about it. From what they say over here, Hasslehoff is huge over there.

oh really?? but it's not true. last thing I've heard of him was he had alcohol problems... OK there were the series Knight Rider and Baywatch but it's history. In that point Al Bundy is more popular than D.Hasselhoff :-D
