Antifreeze Leak

I have a serious issue.
Im having an antifreeze leak from the back of the block. Its from a small elbow on the left side of the intake manifold. Need to know whats its called (or a good way to describe it. Im no mechanic) so I can get a replacement (from where?, is this a dealer only or a part i can get at autozone).

Half the time I just go in to the dealer, point it out on their diagrams, get a price, and laugh all the way to a parts store! But if you took a pic for us someone could ID it

Trip to the dealer is something I'd rather not do. Its 35 miles away (each way)
here is a pic from my iphone. There is normally not a clamp there...that is my temp fix.

That's just a generic heater hose, any auto parts store will have it. When you put the new hose on I would put a clamp on it permanently. Vaccuum hoses often don't need clamps but coolant I always clamp.

The leak is from the metal fitting there, not the hose...we pulled the hose over it to cover it up.

if the fitting is leaking, you need a IACV (air idle control). since i believe the fitting is pressed in

Im gonna be in for one heck of a repair bill then (car is at the garage).

My subie almost didnt get me to work. It over heated and was spraying everywhere (but my overflow stayed full).
My brother was taking it to the garage for me. He had to pull it off the road to let it cool down. He said the Radiator never got warm. What would cause this?

Blocked radiator...you have no coolant going into the radiator...

:confused: What does the IACV have anything to do with the cooling system.

If there is a hole in your metal coolant pipe obviously it will need to be replaced. It's not too bad, the intake manifold has to be removed to get to it - but Huffer makes a good point - those pipes are pretty sturdy and it would surprise me if it just sprung a leak randomly. You may have some other issue in the cooling system, like a blocked radiator, causing excess pressure buildup and now this sort of weird failure.
