Hella supertone installation?

got my supertones today, thought it would be plug and play but looks like theres much more (wire wise) i suck at wiring stuff lol. so i looked up some how to's online , and went by lowes/home depot/auto zone and got some 14g wire 14g male/female connectors and 20 AMP In-Line Fuse Terminal w/ fuse. i'm not sure what else i need to get, and how i hook everything up now, am i missing some stuff ? :smt017

Just go with what you've got, I can't imagine a horn being that picky about wire gauges.

I rolled with 14 on mine and they're super loud. I wouldn't worry about it.

You can just get some spade connectors and whatever wire you have lying around to make an adapter for the stock connectors. My supertones work perfectly fine that way. People *say* its better to run the horns through a relay, but honestly, either way theyre pretty loud and you don't use a horn like you would a set of lights or something that draws a constant power/current so I don't think you need to go into that much wiring to get these supertones to work.

On the one that Huffer linked, it uses the factory relay. It does not use an additional relay.

Easier to find the aftermarket one. I would use one from radio shack.

Okay I will try to find the link but someone did do testing on this... Larger gauge and wiring with the hella relay you add 2dba on the loudness, it's been tested over and over. I just cut the stock plug in and crimped spade connectors, plugged and test. They are loud Enough with stock wiring.

Just don't mount the relay in a place where it'll get wet in the winter, it will freeze and the horns will just start going off in the middle of the night and wake your entire apartment building thinking its a fire alarm...
