Overheating, differnt issuses than everyone else

ok I have a 02 BE, and a while back it was over heating turned out to be a fan problem, well its doing it again. I need to go out and inspect tomorrow, however during my drive tonight it the temp gauge would go down at idle and up when i was driving, never got the the point of overheating just really close

i had the head gasket done at 90k, i currently have 135k

what else should I check after i check the fans, thermo? bubbles? cap? all things i see posted but nothing on how to test these things

please help!

no leaks, cap ok

(couldnt check the thermo cuase it was 8 degrees this morning)

well do you have an aftermarket thermostat? i had an aftermarket thermo in mine and my 1997 leggy kept overheating and it was the thermostat. so it would not be a bad idea to check that out
