So everyone knows that I had a tranny swap done to my leggy. Well one thing I wish i did was put a good clutch in it. I was lacking funds so a F1 clutch kit was put in. HUGE mistake. about 2 weeks ago it would engage into any gear. WTF.
so i bought a exedy set up, and got a resurfaced flywheel. and OMG it shifts SO FARKING nice, drool*
this is a picture of what caused my issues... a bad pressure plate. ever see this one happen???

Hey thanks for sharing the pics. I've only seen that in pictures, however. Good thing the F1 kit broke instead of your tranny. That's what some modded turbo guys get when they get too aggressive a clutch kit - broken stock trans.

probally had a air bubble in casting
brother, i had an F1 racing lightweight flywheel and stage 1 clutch in my 95 240sx.
the flywheel seemed ok but the pos slipped from mile 1 ! when i finally pulled it the pressure plate wasnt cracked but it was blued and burnt unevenly as was the clutch disc. with it in the pedal was super soft and the car bogged down when shifting hard into second
i wish i could have warned you
i too got the flywheel resurfaced and put in an exedy oem kit, it was awesome after that, the pedal was firm and it finally spun the wheels going into second
