View Full Version : Front suspension from BE5/BH5 same as BD5/BG5

Hi there,

I am wondering if somebody would be able to tell me if the front suspension/struts out of the BE5/BH5's are the same as the fronts in the BD5/BG5's so I know if they will fit in or not?

They fit. They're not the same, as the BE/BH is heavier, but suspension physically interchanges.

And just so nobody asks, THE REARS ARE DIFFERENT. :)

I maybe wrong but aren't the BE front suspension a bit stiffer compared to the ones on the BD?

^ not really. They probably have some minor valving changes to accommodate for the BE's heavier body, but nothing to really write home about. It's not like these are mono-inverted struts or anything.

Aw sweet, what about hight? Am hoping they will sit a wee bit lower 20-30mm lower, the ones on my car now arn't bilstein at all, just plain old subaru struts

Lol yeah you would hope no one would ask that about the rears!

then get proper lowering springs.
