i have a transmission out of a 1994 legacy...how do i find out what the differential goes with it?

1990-1994 Legacy US & Canada models:
AWD
Turbo (manual or auto) = 3.9
Non-turbo (manual or auto) = 4.11

FWD
Manual or auto = 3.7

so it should be a 4.11 right?

No Idea.

Compare the code on the tranny to this: The 7th character will tell you whether 3.9 (turbo) or 4.11 (NA or EMPI)
