If it is snow, are you running a "cold air" style intake? It's probably just the fact that you're whomping your way through a bunch of snow, and that causes the engine to work much harder than if you were simply driving on a road.
You can tell if your intake is sucking up water/snow by just feeling if the filter is wet.

Are you running with out fender liners? If so snow can get into your panel filter box and cause it to sputter. What type of intake are you running?

I had the exact same problem. Everytime I would go through deep snow my car would sputter and cut out for a while then it would go away. At first I thought it was my cold air intake cause the filter is so low to the ground but I checked it and there was no snow on it. It turned out it was my front O2 sensor, it had a CEL for it but, I didn't think it would effect anything so I didn't mess with it until the cutting out started. As soon as I replaced the sensor it went away. The bad sensor was the kind you have to splice in, and I think I did a poor wiring job so everytime I went through snow it would mess up the connection.

running stock intake. i also do have a check engine light 0440 but thats emmisions so idk??? i suppose i could check next time we get a storm and the roads have 2 feet of snow. could it be an 02 sensor? i dont have cel for that tho?
P0440 is the EVAP system. Check your vaccuum hoses, especially the ones going to the EVAP solenoid...

Do the vacuum hoses come from the intake? Where is the evap solenoid?
Yes. It's bolted to the intake manifold itself.

all hoses are intact no visible cracks??? hmmm what to do now?
i dont think going through snow puts a big enough load on the engine to cause it to sputter, otherwise it would sputter everytime you accel.
this sounds like something simple so keep looking for a vacuum leak or bad wiring or loose sensor etc....
I have seen EVAP sensors fail over time, I'd look into replacing that if it's consistently throwing that code.

Yes its a very persistent code. I clear it and then it comes back on the next time i drive my car. ill look for faulty wiring maybe i'll just replace all the hoses. could some post a pic of this evap solenoid and its location so i know for sure im looking in the right area of the intake.
check the hoses by carefully pulling them off and then stretching and looking for cracks, cuts, holes, and feel them- if they are mushy then replace.
but no need to replace them if theyre ok
