97 LGT coilpack on a 98 L?

Just bought a 97 LGT for parts, what I really needed was a coil pack but its completely different from my 98. Is there anyway I can run the 97 coil pack on my 98?

It might work if they have the same number of wires, I think it should be 3. Only thing is these coil packs have different plug wires...
Oh wait, you BOUGHT this car so you should have the plug wires to go with it.

Just gotta make sure you have either the same number of wires(3) so you can solder then together, or the sockets for the wires might be the same which would be way easy. Fitment on the manifold will be off too.

Yeah I think you can use it tho, just looking at the first picture I posted, looks like the coil was switched out on it. See how it only has 1 bolt securing it on? The other bolt holes don't line up properly. I forget who's car that is...

The coil itself I know will work (if you can jack one off a Neon and have it work why not from another Subaru?), is the three wire connector different between the two? If not, this should be fairly easy. You'd probably just have to either get new plug wires or make a hybrid set out of the two old pairs (GTs are 2.5 right? I've found they don't fit into the ej22 plug socket :\ So you'd take the coil connectors off the 98 wires and put them on the 97.)

You can have mine very cheap after I install my MSD. It ran good for me. My engine and trans have 92,500 miles so I am guessing that is what the coild pack has. The 98s and 99s should be the same.

Edit: My bad your car is a 2.2.

not to thread jack but what year dodge neon coils fit onto a 97?
