Was that the first summer meet and we kinda like all arrived at the same time? I think when he started his car up everyone looked over it was sweet sounding.

Had to be him because I don't think I saw any other black BK's

SO after years of drooling, searching, and saving, ive finally got myself a GT-B Limited bumper
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2011/04/982f14b1-1.jpg

also got a FX-R projector swap...i was gonna take pics of the output and beam pattern... BUT

blasted deer ran infront of my car so close i had no time to react in a way that would have saved the car...so full steam ahead into 400+lbs of deer

f-king deer :smt013

so sorry to see that, dude :( it was looking quite good! on the plus side, it looks like the bumper and lights mostly survived, but i have no idea how bad it is really. really hope its not as bad as it looks in the photos

It looks a lot worse then it is
needed a new hood, radiator, radiator fans and condenser, and i need to source out some replacement jdm lights, hopefully local, if not i have a set waiting for me over seas...large mallet took care of the bends in the rad support and bumper beam(gotta love the JDM bumper beam  )

well thats good, definitely could have been alot worse. and +1 on the JDM bumper beam, i was seriously surprised how light it was compared to my stock usdm bumper. instant 30lb weight savings, haha

Eeeesh, sorry to see that - hope it goes back together ok, and I'm glad your bumper skin was safe - I love that setup.

What did you do with the stock OB bumper? I'm still on the lookout for a clean one with factory paint....

Getting back to the way it was, unfortunately rocking a scoopless hood, anyone wanna trade?? re-repainting the grill satin black, thinking about rattle-canning the whole car satin black until i can swap and get her professionally repainted

Hey guys, its been a while. The car never made much progress from what you see above, but the car was rear ended and totaled a month ago

Navi271
10-16-2011, 03:34 PM
wtf man... First a deer and now this!? I guess this car was unlucky. You selling parts or getting another 2nd gen to replace this one?

slaytalera
10-17-2011, 01:19 AM
Yea im convinced the car was cursed, the old lady that sold it to me was one of those types that didn't get rid of ANYTHING, so I'm convinced that it was cursed, it also had the motor blow up twice, once was a random spun bearing(fresh oil and full, wasn't pushing it too hard) and after that got fixed i made it to 3000 miles and the crank pulley literally exploded....im almost happy to see this car gone. Anyway I kept the important parts(wheels, headlights, bumper) and the rest was taken by insurance to be scrapped.

As for the replacement car, I picked up a 92 SS that i put a thread up for, hopefully that project will go A LOT smoother then this car did

how much for the front bumper!

LOL! I would have asked also, if I didnt have mine already!

That bites man... Sometimes its needed to move on to another car when a car takes that much out of you...
