Any front sway bars around for bd5?

ive looked all around and cant find any. im looking to keep the split close to factory, cuz i dont want a huge rear sway and have to deal with a crap load of oversteer. thanks!

look, first try out the rear sway bar... maybe even just go for an OB one.

then, decide whether or not you really need one.

i have a 24mm rear bar together with a stock front bar. back when those were the only mods to the suspension, that combo greatly improved the neutral handling of the car.

my point? ANY sized rear bar alone will not cause a "crap load of oversteer" in an underpowered bd.

just TRY out a rear bar, THEN decide.

Yeah I'm with Tokio on this, I feel like a front is really uneccessary in our cars, maybe do something else with the money, my car is extremely well balanced with just the 18mm outback RSB and all other suspension components stock. It doesnt seem like our cars need the front as badly at all as the rear.

yep, our cars could benefit from a boost in the oversteer department...maybe not in winter though. It all depends on your driving skills, I guess.

I used to have an outback, and on the day i got my gt, i swaped the rsb. its alright, but i want to go bigger in the front, and the back at the same time. i like my handling netural. Im pretty sure i want to run 22 up front and a 18-22 in the back. not so sure about solid endlinks yet. anyone have any opinions on them?

rallitek also has iPd sway bars for the legacy. they are sold as a pair and include upgrade endlinks.

make sure your rear is larger than the front, you don't want the front to be that solid. 93-01 Impreza RS front and rear sway bars will fit, you can find those anywhere. Stay under 22 in front and 24 in the rear if you aren't going to use it on the track, try an 18-20 adjustable in front and an 20-22 in the rear, that should be more than enough.

Rear GC swaybars won't fit. At least not 01 RS to 98 GT.
There's a bigger hump in the GT bar which accommodates the spare wheel well. The RS's don't have the lower hanging wheel well. So the those RSB's are more flat.

98GT -> 01RS
but not
01 RS -> 98GT

I've just tried swapping with a local RS owner - we test fitted my adjustable on his RS, worked fine. The reverse, no go. So I got a stock swaybar from gil_ong to put on my car, while the RS owner takes my 18-20-22 adjust.

Best bet for you is to go to www.racecompengineering.com (http://www.racecompengineering.com) , email them and ask for Drew, tell him you are looking for a FSB and RSB setup for a BD legacy and ask what he'd recommend. He can source you anything you want, they have a full line of cusco stuff and their prices are the best on cusco products that I've seen. He'll make sure you get what fits for what you want to accomplish.
