There are a few things I'd really like to do but I'm not in the same financial position as I was when I owned the Legacy. It really needs a stereo. It's pathetic. One of the worst sounding stock stereo's I've ever heard in a car. If I somehow come across any cash I want a Nismo exhaust & a Nismo v.1 front lip.

Thanks, yes the previous owners garaged the car its entire life. It is in excellent condition, sans some curbing on the pass. side wheels. I have a thick folder with every single record including the original window sticker.

I absolutely love the torque of the motor. The power delivery is very smooth and linear. Unfortunately I find myself over the speed limit too often. Only having two seats hasn't posed a problem yet, fortunately my Parent's live about 12 miles away & I can always borrow one of their more practical cars when needed.

I still like this car forum the best. I am not enjoying NorthwestNissans so far

you should be very happy with that, the only 350 I would get would be a track. much better stuff in them.

Nice choice! Gotta love the VQ sound. I have an HKS TRUE DUAL and love the sound. Get a phlenum spacer FIRST before you add gas! Its good for about 10-20whp... the front cyl are starved for air on the stock manifold. They are 100-250 and WELL WORTH IT!

Now that number is with other mods (but it is really the best thing you can do to the car.)

These cars EAT OIL! I use only amsoil 5w30 or Castrol Edge 5w30 with a 1/2 quart of lucas syn additive in mine G35. I beat the crap out of it (I doubt you will ever see one driven harder unless its a full on drift car). I burn only .5 (if i drive normally) and 1qt if I beat on it all the time every 3k miles... Thats better then most of these things. When i ran mobil one 5w30 or 10w30 it would drink 2 qrts every 3k... My trip to florida and back last winter (did about 3.5k miles it used 2.5 qrts on mobil 1) thats when I switched.

Check out the forums it is very very common... Your dipstick is unreliable as it has strange bends (hell mine gets oil all the way to the handle if I drive it hard). Change that oil all the time unless you send it out to test it.

I have gotten into the habit of every 2-3k in the summer depending on how i drive it and every 3k in the winter.

the VQ oil dipstick goes thru the head...so if you have just driven the car you will see oil up to the stop/seal. it goes thru a drain hole for the head. takes almost 15 minutes to wait and get a good reading on the oil level after just being ran.

Ya I saw your G, looks sweet! Great stance.

Phlenum spacer is definitely on the wish list too. Seems like a great mod. Got to get new tires first, fronts are still good but the rears are getting close to the wear bars.

Thanks for the tip about the oil consumption. When I first purchased it I checked the oil level before it had been ran and it was perfect. I just checked it a couple days ago after reading your post and it is still at the same level after just over 1,000 miles. What kind of mileage do you usually get? My worst is 18.5 and best so far is only 20 but again, I've been enjoying that VQ sound  On the highway if I throw it in sixth, put on the cruise control at 65 after filling up it goes up to like 28mpg!

Nice! I nearly bought one of those before I bought my Mazdaspeed3, but I decided the MS3 was a bit more practical for me at the time.
