Fabricating a sunroof???

How hard would it be to take the sunroof offa scrapped legacy and fabricate it into my roof. I dont have one right now but would really like to have one. i know it wouldnt be to terribly hard to cut the roof. just the internal on the inside between the roof and cloth. also doing it without it leaking.

Considering they leaked stock, it'd be quite a hassel to get it done right.

yeah i heard there where many problems with the stock ones leaking in car washes etc. Also not sure would you know how to seal it or wire it if its motorized?
Question would you be weaking anything in the roof? thinking maybe the ones with sun/moon roof might have extra supports built in for roll overs. not sure myself but thought i throw out the idea.

you could just cut the whole roof off of the scrap legacy and swap it on yours but its not suggested
just get the rally style roof vent and put that on

I was kind of joking - rally cars don't have sun-roofs - they have vents that are used to bring fresh air into the cabin because there is no HVAC system in those cars.

Honestly, you want to avoid hacking your entire roof to install a FACTORY sunroof - but you could do this:

Personally, I'd be happy to ditch my sunroof assembly altogether. It adds about 100lbs of weight, reduces structural integrity and I only use it 4months a year.

When my sunroof fails, I'm having it removed and installing a manual one or just leaving Lexan in.

lol mine been broken for almost 2 years. i would rather take it all out and just fill the area with the lightest option for filling it

i have seen some imprezas with flip up roofs but then they cant see out of them while it rains
