What are the torque specs for ej22 oil pump?
what sealant should I use?
should i put some oil in the pump for the first start up after install?

what sealer should i use between the pump and block?
this is a new pump being shipped to me. should i put a lil bit of oil in there for the first start up, or?

ive never done it myself.. so someone else is gonna have to chime in here for ya on the sealer. if you wanna PM me your email i can send you the full PDF if you would like. might explain a bit more bout what to use?

Permatex anaerobic gasket maker #51813 it only hardens when installed.

also the oil pump is self priming.

did you use any lock tight on the pump bolts since there has been stories of them coming loose?

1-2-3-4: I was actually going to say to use that sealant! But i wasnt sure! I know you use that stuff on the separator cover too..very cool!

also don't put too much on the oilpump as the gasket maker will spread when mating with the block. don't want anyting to clog.

1-3-2-4 i take it you've done your oil pump before? if so did you use any lock tight on the mounting bolts (T1) in the pictures above?

no you don't need to use lock tight and no I haven't done my oil pump yet however I have read my factory service manual and the haynes manual as well as searched around it's really pretty straight forward. When I pull my motor soon I will be using a feeler gauge to check if the pump is still in spec (I have 217K miles)
