pulling my engine this weekend tips?

Hey i am not exactly new to pulling engines, but i have never pulled an engine out of a subaru before. it shouldnt be much different than a V8. any tips/ tricks to make the job easier?
I am replaceing the valve cover gaskets and the clutch, and i want to clean up the engine a bit (oil everywhere from the leaking valve cover gaskets) would i be better off leaving the engine in the car, and just replace the VC gaskets, then slide the engine forward to access the clutch?
part of me wants to pull it to make these two jobs a little easier and also to give it a good cleaning, is pulling the engine too extream for these jobs?

pulling a subaru motor isnt hard if youve done any motor before. in fact i found it pretty pleasant.

i fiddled around a little bit before i realized it would be easier if i undid the mount on top of the trans and jacked the trans up when putting it back. i dont know if the manuals have that pitch stop too, i would imagine so.

so basicly its just disconnecting everyting, pulling it out, doing the work, drop it back in place and re-connect everyting.
theres not that much messing around? everything is fairly simple and straight forward?

How many miles does the car have? I would go and do the headgaskets, cam seals, and cranks seals while you are at it.

155k. just had timing belt and water pump done at the dealership. and the valve cover gaskets need to be done. i would like to do the head gasket, cam and crank seals. but i dont have that much time for my car to be down. and i just had the timing belt done and i dont want to mess anyting up.

the car is back up in WI at my parents house. i am down in IL for school. i am barrowing my bros car for a week while the water pump and timing belt was done... i hate driving this accord! i would really like to do those seals as well but that would mean a few more weeks with out my car and doing way more work.

like i said this is my daily driver.

i had trouble removing the two nuts off the studs on the engine/trans mating surface. and i was determined to do it without removing the CV axles, some dinking around and a combo or the socket, two swivels and two 3 inch extensions.

i also removed my throttle body to get to the torque converter bolts...but you wouldnt have to worry about that....

^ you should be able to do that pretty easily with a ratcheting wrench. they are still in a stupid place though.

but yes, jack up the tranny and remove the pitchstop from the tranny, makes it way easier.
