Fog Light Bar

I have a 99 GT and I would really like to throw a light bar and some nice fogs on it but I'm in major debt to my parents and I'm a broke college kid so I can't really afford buying anything for my car. So I was wondering if anyone has ever attempted/made their own fog light bar. I have hardly any fabrication skills but my stepdad does know how to weld and we have a little welding machine. I'm open to any suggestions on how to do it, I'll try it and let you know how it works out.

i went to lowes, picked up a 3 or 4 foot aluminum bar, cut it to make it fit inbetween the headlights, got self tapping screws and 2 sets of fogs from walmart...done
its held in place by 2 of the plugs that hold the bumper on which surprisingly does keep it in place...plus add the hood pushing the grill ontop and it doesnt shake/wobble/move in any direction
all i needed was a screwdriver, hacksaw, and a drill...cost me about $25 for the bar and $40 for the 2 sets of lights

ive made light bars out of bar stock, a few cuts with the angle grinder, a bend, a tap with the welder, some black spray paint.

no problem....some advice with the tapping screws...drill a small hole before screwing in the self tapping screw...it makes the project easier

i think you should trim out some of the bar where you aren't attaching the lights...

it was a very cold and windy day when i did it...plus again i only have a hacksaw...im going to take them off the bar and drill them into the grille when the weather gets warmer

that one does look cool, but it looks like it was kind of designed to at least look like a skid plate, but it does not look anywhere near sturdy enough to BE a skid plate/brush bar

but i do have a tendancy of overbuilding things.

EDIT: ok, upon closer look...

i would put some barstock going from the TOP of that lightbar you linked to to the frame somewhere, i would imagine that with any resistance that thing would just fold the top into the bumper.

or maybe it is there and im just not seing it.

Ill be honest, I have been thinking of doing something different, wondering how people here think itll work out. I would like to either find or fabricate a light bar similar to offroading jeeps and 4x4s, on the roof right above the windshield. The grille area I want to leave available for whenever I find a pushbar on an old cop car in the junkyard. When Im done with my BG itll be a battle-ready wagon my friends.
