So my car drive just fines around town, I can even let the car idle for 2 hours (litterally) and it never dies. But when I try to drive on the highway my plugs foul in about 15min or so of driving. So I went for a quick run tonight, pulled out my plugs and heres what they look like, there almost seems to have a white or beige powdery residue on them? I'm not losing any coolant or oil so i'm baffled on what could be the problem :(

Possibly running too rich. That would foul up the plus that fast.

in the book it says if they are white it means it was running lean doesnt it? are you throwing any codes?

This is exactly why I'm buying a scanner instead of a code reader. To see exactly why my car does this but it might be your front o2 sensor for yours since it's like and acts as your air/fuel sensor.

eBay has the autoxray 4000 used for deal at $80, everywhere I seen is $300 and their all upgradable, comes with USB connector. I picked one up and won't ever go back to a code reader.

+1 You're running lean. This could be your O2, MAF, ECU, or injectors.

Sounds like an 02 sensor problem, since its the main part of the car that controls the AFR. I would also clean the MAF just to be sure, and check the coil pack and wires. If there isn't a powerful enough spark, then not all the air/fuel mixture will burn.

Don't forget the fuel filter.

ALL of those things are brand spanking new OEM.

it might be the fuel filter then, or maybe a clogged fuel injecter, just run some sea foam threw the intake and gas and see if it goes away. maybe a vacum leak? did you change your pcv valve? i dont now im just throwing stuff out there

Those plugs look normal. All modern engines run high combustion temps, which will make the plugs a bit white-ish. If the ground was totally bleached white or the porcelin looked like it was glazed over then I would be concerned.

Can you feel it misfiring? Does it just occasionally miss, or does it totally cut out? Or does it feel like it drops a cylinder completely and runs on 3 cyl for a while?

EDIT: Just read your other post. So there is definitely a problem. Anyway, your plugs are not fouled. I don't think you are looking at an ignition system problem. I would suggest reproducing the conditions on the highway in your driveway....i.e. run the engine at 2500-3000rpm, that would at least cause you to be able to duplicate the problem without being on the highway. If an injector is failing, unless it is just slightly blocked and causing a lean condition, you'll never see it in the plugs. In fact, usually the most telling sign for an injector fault causing a misfire is the lack of anything unusual on the plugs. Typically a misfire caused by an ignition system problem will either turn the plug black or make it wet/gassy. If you can get it to misfire a lot at idle or in some condition where you can be behind the car when it happens, take a whiff of the exhaust smell. If it has a strong sulfur or gas smell, the problem is causing gas to get dumped into the exhaust, if it smells like normal exhaust smell, then it isn't causing excess gas to get dumped into the exhaust, and is almost certainly not an ignition problem.
