Frankenmotor! what heads should i use?

I am looking into a cheap HC franken motor to mess with. I plan on squeezing a phase II 2.5 short block between some ej22 heads, the biggest problem i see at this point is that ej22 heads flow like concrete, the phase II ej22 heads arn't as bad as the phase one heads according to nasioc.

but i have a 97 so no phase II heads for me,

i have a choice between dual and single port heads, and the set i choose will be mildly ported so the biggest question is what Phase I ej22 heads flow better? where can i look up the valve size and other info on each head?

Personally I would go with dual port heads.

yeah that what i am doing, plus using some of my valve train solid vs HLA less resistance

Aren't the Phase 1 EJ25 heads like the best flowing N/A heads?

^ true, but sometimes finding a full running 2.5 is expensive while finding a 2.5 block is cheap.

when you use 2.2 heads on a 2.5 block it bumps up the compression substantially and obviously adds the torque of having a 2.5 block.

if you have the parts to do a full 2.5 swap that would be ideal or if you already have a full 2.5 in your car you should not do this, but if you just want to get a little more power and are limited to 2.2 heads you can shove a 2.5 block between them.

been trying to go this route ever since i seen this build. Hope your really going to go through with this because i am still trying to go this route.Can someone please direct me to ej25 short block.

i was lucky i scored a phase II short block for 150, and the heads were 80 so far everything looks good and cheap
