because.. the bulbs are probably really old. There is a wicked simple fix for this.. go to radio shack and get some of these tiny 12v bulbs:

http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... Id=2103780 (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103780)

Then re-wire them into the switch bases. Here is instructions:

It may LOOK complex.. but trust me, its SO simple you will want to replace all of them. Oh.. and its cheap too! 1 pack for $1.79 will let you do 2 bulbs.. which is good for either 1 switch that is COMPLETELY out (each switch has 2 bulbs), or you can just get a couple packs and fix all the backlight bulbs.

You will want a really small proper sized flat head screwdriver.. as getting the bulbs out will require this.

Enjoy! Its super easy.. and very effective mod!

Now for your gauge cluster.. are you sure you plugged everything back in right? I know it can kind of be a pain to pull the plugs out of their sockets on the back of the cluster.. but the BEST way i found to do this is to take a flat head screwdriver and push it UNDER the tab you need to press down.. and then just lift up on it.. and press forward. You may have just forgot to put one of the plugs back.. there is 4 of them. 3 Large harnesses, and the small blue harness that plugs into the center in the back. MIght wanna re-check them.

ive had my guages out maybe 8 times and im sure i plugged it all back in correctly
i didnt drive far yesturday and the car could just not be warm but im sure it would have at least moves up a little bit

as for the bulbs im just going to the junkyard and grabbing some

well my check engine light randomly turned off so thats good i guess
as for the temp guage, i broke the needle a while back and superglued it but broke it again 2 nights ago and the superglue is holding it to the pin

well the button lights continue to stop working one every night so ill just replace them and hope it works out
