I recently got a loud knocking sound in my transmission that's worrying me. It has a continuous knock that cycles through low to high volume every second or so. It's audible from outside the car and slightly in the car with a window down.
When stationary, I can cycle from N to the others fine except to D. When I went from N to D, the revs will drop rapidly to near stall and a whining noise will now be audible.
Could it be a shot transmission bearing? Loose torque converter bolt?

There's also a whine when go into drive but I forgot to tape it.
