Im going to be upgrading my brakes. the L brakes just arent cutting plus i need new pads. Im going slotted cuz im going through brake pads fast and occasionaly drive fast and stop fast. haha. Question though if i buy the ebay rotors and pads for the GT will i need new calipers or can i use the stock L calipers.
i would upgrade the calipers first, huge improvement...

if your going through brake pads fast it sounds like you need new calipers anyway cause yours are likely dragging. personally i would still stick with plain rotors as well.

I have slotted front and rear. I've had them since I upgraded the brakes. Most say you won't see much of a difference, but the slotted rotors will help to keep the pads cleaned, while also wearing them down somewhat quicker.

ok well im getting slotted cause ive made my mind on that part of ot. calipers are a little harder to find but ill replace those too. am i limited to 2nd gen or can i go 3rd gen or 4th. 4th would be cool cuz some were built for 17s and i think they would fit nicely. let me know what will work.

If you use the larger GT rotors, you'll need to use calipers designed to fit the larger rotors. So the stock L calipers won't fit.
