Turbo auto awd?

I am needing a tranny for a 93 leggy wagon. Its turbo, awd, and automatic. The question i have is, will an auto awd non-turbo tranny work in this or is the turbo tranny only good in a turbo car?! Any help is greatly appreciated!!

it should bolt up but the early 90s trans are notorious for going out. if i were you i would try to get a trans from a 1996 or something
and put that in there. it would probably hold up better.

indeed, with a little redneck ingenuity it will work. just make sure the final drive ratios are the same and all will be well.

Legacy777 mentioned that you might need the matching TCU (from the new tranny) to get it to work. You don't have your location in your profile, but a friend of mine is selling his 1992 SS auto tranny in Washington.
