Hey
The other day my wipers stopped working correctly. The first 2 clicks down on it do nothing. And with the rain season coming up, I need to get this fixed ASAP.

Is this fixable or do I need to replace the stalk?
If I were to replace it, Is it hard to remove?
I would like to get more functionality out of it, like have it click up and down but then have a slider on it to adjust the speed farther, is this possible to do? (like take one from a different subie that had is and install it)

You sure the nuts on the wiper arms are tightened up all the way?

its in the switch in the car...sometimes (rarely) it works on the first click down.

replacing the wiper stock is easy!

you will have to cut some zip-ties also.

cool.
Can i replace it one from an impreza (GC or GD) or a newer Legacy (BE)?

EDIT: Just torn mine apart to see. It doesn't look as easy as the Impreza in the link. i have screws facing either towards the steering wheel or towards the cluster, making both a pain to get out. Couldnt see the electrical plug either. It might be underneath it i guess (i couldnt work with the car door open, its raining)

he wipers are powered by 1 motor and connected by a bar so they are both connected together and move in unison.. check whether the motor is working fine or not, is the power supply reaching properly to the motor.
