View Full Version : Wire my fogs like the Skoda Superb.

Does anyone know how i could make my fogs come on while cornering?
Using the indicator switch left and right and make the fogs come on with it. Not blinking but constant until im trough the corner.

I know the Skoda turns the fogs on while reversing and when you go trough a corner. I have tried to google it but i can't find any info on the wiring.
I know how to set up an entire light system for a car so this should be doable.

I would send power to the fogs after the fog light switch from the turn signal (but before the signal relay)

The only wiring diagram I have is for the 1st and 2nd gens, but its not good. Basically any output from the turn signal switch is going to be flashing, because the input to the turn signal switch is the output from the flasher. So it will be flashing.

That being said, I'm pretty sure the JDM 2nd gen fog lights have cornering lights built into them...so there has to be some way.

I could be mistaken, but the signal from the turn signal would not flash. It activates a relay which controls the flash, if you jump from turn signal, but before the relay, it should be constant. It would be easy to test, find which wire comes from the turn signal and measure the voltage, if it stays constant, you are good, but if it changes from open to closed, you will have to find a different route.

Usually, power into a relay is constant. I think this would be the place to grab a signal from.

I will do some research on this after easter break. At school i have a test bench for automotive electronics.

Power into the flasher is constant but not directional. Any power out of the flasher is flashing. At least according to the diagram I have.

Ill check up on this. Do some measurments etc, and figure out how to do this thing.
