View Full Version : sunroof broke

the cover that slides back and fourth is stuck half way and i cant open the sun roof more then a few inches. does this happen alot? is it an easy fix? ill be pulling the head liner today and take a look at it but i dont really now anything about sun roofs so if anyone has a diagram or something, or tell me wat im lookin at it would help, any pointers will help thanks

this happened to me as well. FIRST! don't force anything. pull the headliner, and you will see that on each corner of the sunroof there are little things that sort of resemble a leaf spring and on the ends they fit into a rail that runs parallel to the length of the car. kinda hard to describe but it will all make sense. what happened is one of those (probably one of two towards the windshield) that popped off, and you just have to put the leaf springish thing back on the rail.

Same issue here. Even after
I fixed it it would come off the rails with the slightest nudge so finally I got pissed and just pulled the whole thing out and tossed it somewhere in the garage, now I don't have to deal with it... Plus I'm shedding weight for racing!
