the reason i made this thread is because im about to change my brakes on my 97 gt and im looking for some ss braided brake lines. But i cant seem to find any that work with the gt rear. Any one have any info and or personal experience on where i can get some..????
I would assume that a set for a WRX would work if you zip tie them to the strut... I have "STi" lines on my SVX and was thinking of doing the same here. I am lucky enough that I can make use of the tabs on the lines though and not have to z-tie em since I have STi Struts

axxis and hawk blow. i would rather have autozome valuecraft over those. go with ebc rotors and pads. i would also recommend dixcel but they are hard to get in this country.

Those are strong words, especially with no information to back up why you feel that way.

i had hawk pads that wore out within 300 miles of a fresh brake job(rotors, calipers, pads). i thought it was a fluke so i got the same pads and new rotors the next time. within 500 miles the pads were shot again. also my 60-0 with hawk pad vs the ebc pads was a 15ft differance.

Something was wrong then. I've used Hawk pads on 4 different cars and they lasted about 40k miles of hard driving on my old Probe (didn't keep the other cars long enough to wear out the pads). Didn't measure stopping distances, but they provide far more stopping power than my summer tires could deal with and significantly reduced brake fade.
Currently I have them on the front of my Legacy and my friend has them on all 4 corners of his sti. The stopping power with those pads and some decent tires on the Legacy is really good for a mid 90s sedan, and on the STI with the Brembos and RE070s all around just, it just about sends you through the windshield.
So yeah, nothing but good experiences with Hawk pads for me.

If I had a track toy like a lotus I would so run Yellow stuff on the street and track.

one person had bad experience with hawk pads. i had bad time with ebc greens crumbing apart because the bonding was crap. next set was okay though,

I have heard that a few times as well, but never anything negative about Hawk...
Sounds more like a sticky slide or something... did one side wear quicker than the other? cause that just doesn't make sense no matter how quick they fade or even if you bedded them improperly.
