was going a little faster than the 55 speed limit following a Chevy Silverado through a the construction zone and a barrel was some reason partially in the travel lane. i swerved at the last minute only to smack my mirror on the barrel. i was surprised my mirror did not break. it knocked the glass out of adjustment and scuffed the mirror, but man i was lucky. called Oregon State Police and the opreator was giving me the fifth degree about where the construction zone was. i got lucky, i hope no one else hit it cuz someone could have gotten really hurt.
