I found some 5x100 BBS STi gold wheels 17x7.5 (from a 2004 STi) that still have the stock rubber on them (235/45/17). Just wondering if these are going to rub anywhere on my 2001 LGT wagon? I'm not lowered yet, but I plan on it.
I'm getting the rims no matter what, just wanted to know if I have to budget for new tires...

That's a larger tire than came stock (225/45/17 is stock on STi's). It's going to be be a pretty big tire, and it will probably rub slightly in the rear, especially if you lower the car, but if you're buying them anyways, just mount them up and see how they fit on your particular setup.

These do not rub. Stock ride height BH wagon. STI BBS wheels are 53 offset. Just FYI for anyone interested.

You must have rolled your fenders right?

nope, and the fact that i dont have any fender liners helps. thats were your tire rub the most.

the 235's are awsome!!! grip like no other. they did rub alittle tell i rolled the lip on the front fenders, and that was only when taking corners 40-50mph more than posted. the rpf1's have been the best 700bucks i have spent in a long time. worth ever penny. just have to get one more for a full size spare.
So did you, or didn't you roll them? My STI wheels are 53et so I guess I have to be more concerned with inner clearance than outer. Do you still have the H&R/KYB kit for sale? What made you switch over to Coils?

i was goin to roll them, but all i did was bend the lip up and fix rubbing very hard cornering.
yes i still have my old sus setup for sale. i switched to coils because i wanted it lower, and i love to feel the road as much as possible. also the coild i got are normaly 1500 brand new, i got the for 775 brand new so i couldnt pass up the offer.

Yeah, I've heard that the H&R/KYB setup is not too much stiffer than stock. What do you think? How much would you sell the setup for? I'm in MA, so shipping should be a factor in the price. You can PM me if you don't want to keep this thread going. We're slightly off topic at this point haha.
