Outer tie rod ends if the rack doesn't come with them.
Take a close look at all your bushings too.

any other mods?
Hi my situation is sorta similar. I am new to this forum and a new owner of a Subaru. I drive a 95 Subaru Legacy L. I used to have and love my 99 camry but had low budget and came across this legacy. I love Sti 's so i had to get it i was thinkin project car.
Except when it snow i had fun but got outta control and hit a curb which ruined my alignment. The mechanic said that the right control arm is broken and he said something about the rack. and that if i got a new control arm to get bushings too.
I would like to replace and/or do the work myself but on a low budget too. Does anyone have idea about doing so?

you would probably want to have a air hammer/chisel. makes it way easier.
when i checked prices for my 99 outback the lower ball joints $25
and asked my buddy at the parts store to look up those parts for me.
the rack and pinion is $219.99 with a $125.99 core charge
the control arm, with the ball joints are $168.99
tie rod ends are $45.99
Thank you so much i did some research and found an even better deal and idea of fixing it

are those the only suspension bushings you would change if you were replacing ball joints, steering rack, and all four struts??

you have a 96? pre 97 used a different shifter you need to convert linkage on the tranny and shift linkage with a new shifter for it to work. or do the custom short shifter for the older shifters
