Full sheet metal fenders, love it when I read that, means allot of hard work went into it. Looks like allot of quality work for a very awesome quality car, good job  Would like to see how the tune goes with that Hydra EMS and EZ30 swap. Do you know who is going to tune it?

Wow, the exterior is def complete. Onto the motor build. I'm lovin' it! Welcome to the club. Please shed some light on your lighting setup. Seems like your parking lights are not coming on, and I can tell that you have your city lights wired up separately from the rest of the lights. Let me know what you've got going on there. Thanks!

My little parking lights work and my Headlights and Fog lights have HIDs in them running off the stock sender wires. The second filament in the Fogs I wired to my turn signal arm so when I turn I signal right for instance the right fog light stays steady on. Then turns off then the switch clicks off. I wanted only my projectors to be on when I drove normally so I thought that was a cleaver use for them. Work great.

i think your in the wrong section unless you have a members ride already, if not i will move it over there for you. it is very nice. im thinking of goin wider, and will have to do somthing along the same lines.
impreza_GC8
03-22-2010, 04:43 PM
No. I'm talking about the city lights being independent of the parking lights. Parking lights are the orange lights in the corner of each lense, they should be on all the time and then they should flash for your turn signals. City lights are the little bulbs inside the headlights, they only come in JDM headlights.
Girodisc
03-22-2010, 04:52 PM
I don't have a members ride thread. You can move this or I can make another one doesn't matter to me.
I also don't have these city lights in my headlights. I did however add some red LEDs into my projector housings for a "terminator/ sentenal" look.

Now just lower it.
Just like an inch or so. Just get rid of the gap, tuck the tires a little. They should pull in nicely. If not, add a touch more camber and you'll be good.
Then it will look real awesome.

The body work on the car is very nice, but the tires sticking out so far below the flares makes it look goofy IMO. Its only "hella flush" at the top, the tires stick out oddly everywhere else and kind of ruin the lines of the car.
Not my taste but it looks like you've done quality work, so kudos for that.

They are 5x114.3 Wheels I have 06 STi Hubs. Also you'll need flares or something to fit these as they would stick out a good 3" past the stock body. hehe

probably 15 degrees or something to fit those huge wheels

i'd say you can easily fit an 8" wheel under our fenders. I rolled mine and tuck 8.5's w/o much problem. The offset is +38 which is pretty aggressive.

Hey all. So I spent this last weekend giving the Lego some much needed love. Decided to jazz up the engine bay a bit.
Painted some stuff
Move the batt to the trunk
Fuse box in the fender
Tucked the wiring a bit
Relocated the coil pack
All in all not bad for 2 days worth of work, $40 in materials
It went from this:

To this:
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2010/09/Lego59-1.jpg
Also added some custom flare with some acrylic and our Laser Etcher.

So I got an EZ30R I just need to finsh some other stuff before I can start working on it. I'll be working on it in a GC8 that came with it so it will be running before I make the swap. It has a hydra in it and it looks like the wiring is done but I am going to sell it and make my own harness with e Vi-Pec V88 I hear its better for what I want. Going to be doing some major custom work to the car in a couple months.
Moving the Engine/ Tranny down 1" and back 5" for better weight distribution.
Stich weld the entire car and re-coat the underside
Custom Headers
Custom True dual 2.5" GTR Style Exhaust (Same Tips)
Custom Intake Manifold w/ Dual Throttle Bodies
Custom V-Mount Style Intake System
Custom Brake Lines and complete Removal of the ABS
Possibly an 2009 Legacy Front end Swap I am still thinking about that one.

I never get spotted on the Subaru Forums. I got spotted on the Audi and BMW forums more haha.
She was nice to the car. I have sctratchs on my back bumper anyways from putting shit in the trunk. Its a DD, its going to get dents, and scratches. Privided I have been lucky so far but I can't avoid it. I'll be repainted some of it this winter. I need to cut my rear fender arches a little higher. Also I want to get a second trunk to put a Voltex spoiler and maybe a second front bumper for the track.
Yeah I am still toying with the new front end. My bumper needs to be fixed, I need to get new headlights because one had a bunch of hairline cracks that showed up after we smoked them. So given how much I have to fix and replace I was playing with the idea. It would be a bolt on so I could always go back to 2nd gen or just make it to sell it or something. I have doen that before, making custom parts on my own car just to sell so I could buy the part I really wanted.
