When I bought my Wagon from my boss, he told me the boot was ripped on the front left CV. I didn't pay much mind and went through lots of mud and water.
It started clicking really bad last Wednesday, so I parked it and drove the Black Z around. I started to drive to his house to go swap a CV from his OBS parts car, and as I'm about to get on the interstate I see pieces of my car bouncing on the pavement and hear a terrible noise.
I jump out and see my CV has imploded.
I limp it back home and put it up on jackstands. This is what I found:
Snapped ABS wires

It ripped the tranny side CV boot as well and flung grease everywhere

Check your boots, kids!!
Got the new CV in, took about 30 minutes. Pleasurable experience, I love that Subarus can take this much and still be driveable.
That was Thursday night. on Friday, it was 65* and I was driving the Datsun around. The forecast was for snow on Sunday. I didn't believe it.
On Saturday morning, it started pissing down rain. By 1PM it turned to sleet, and snow shortly after. It continued snowing until yesterday morning at 11AM. It's 55* right now.
Anyways, here are the pictures of us playing around.

We had to call the XJ out initially because our Forrester-owning friend thought his street tires would work in the snow and mud

I went to work this morning and all of the snow on the roads were melted. University of Arkansas in Fayetteville has the largest parking deck in the state at 9 stories. I went up there to see if any snow was left, because nobody parks there anyways. There was still a foot or so left at 10AM :D
I gladly destroyed the unmolested snow while it lasted.
