Alright guys, anyone know what the smallest rim is the I can run when WRX calipers bolted on the BD?
I assume just stick with 16"+ but want to know if anyone has actually done it with smaller?

16"+ only. You want to run 15"s, you have to use the lower profile 4pot calipers...and even then you need a 15" wheel with a lot of clearance behind the spokes to do it.

I have to downgrade from WRX front brakes to 1998 Legacy GT front brakes during the winter for my 15" winter setup. Legacy SS wheels ftw.

are you using wrx stock calipers/pads/rotors sarra?

He said 2-pot calipers, so I'm assuming he means the 02-05 wrx not the 06 4 pots.

I don't recall the wrx brakes being that big. 15s might fit, but 14s are doubtful.

Correct, no TRs for me... they seem to get pricey for probably less benefit than I need. I thought some people had luck slipping them (2-pots) under some 15"s but I know it would be really close on pretty much anything... just trying to figure out my options, and yes was looking for winter wheels in the process too :smt002 but looks like I either have to sacrifice a set of 17's or pick up some extra 16s.

i have the legacy gt 2pots, same caliper but the wrx rotor is bigger, 15" impreza steelies just clear the legacy setup, extremely slim chance with the wrx setup

they have different part numbers but the rotors are as follows:
2nd gen gt rotor 10.7"
wrx rotor 11.4"

The 1998 Legacy GT and 2002-2003 WRX use identical front brakes as far as the calipers and Pads* are concerned. Rotors and brackets are different.

The asterisk is due to a change in brake pads halfway through 2003 for hte front brakes on the WRX, don't ask me why as the 2002 and older style worked fine. I CAN use the same pads, but I have a 'winter' and 'summer' set of pads, which I switch with the rotors and brackets.
