really doubt anyone would want to jack an outback.. I wouldn't worry too much about it if that's what your asking.

Here is a page you might be able to find some info on:

I am with d1gi. No one will jack your outback :-D

No Pre 2000 legacy came with an immobilizer. Even the 2004 Sti didn't come with one. But I am sure 2005+ all have them installed.

My 98 Legacy sedan does not have an immobilizer, neither does my 04 Legacy sedan. But a buddys 05 does for sure.

Maybe just do something like taking distributer cable off(rool it up and stick it in a pocket) i used to do that on diffrent car i had. lol dose a subaru have anything like that?

The EJ motors use coil packs, no distributor. Not sure about the old EA motors but who would steal a Loyale

My 95 Legacy LSi wagon has engine immobilizer in security sys and it causes occasional starting issues but I just jiggle the wire harness directly under the steering column under the dash and it starts right up. I expect it's some short in the module there, have looked into it any further. Hope this helps.
