does the 2010 legacys really have to have 8 cupholders for 5 people. my 98 outback only has 2 flimsy ones for 5 people (realistically we all know it will carry 4 people comfortably.)

An option for the 2nd gen wagons was a rear pop out cup holder - covering the rear ashtray, just like in old Foresters. Kinda flimsy but very useful.

more proof that the legacy is turning into an all-wheel-drive camry.

i have a cup holder in the back... it pops out of the center console, just for one cup...

FAIL!

j/k, j/k i heart my legacy.

I wish there was a way to swap out the center console cupholders for a mechanical ebrake...

You know what is really sad? The LGT more than likely getting the axe.

My Mazdaspeed3 had 8 cup holders too. It was ridiculous, but I do miss having at least 2 functional, intelligently placed cupholders in the front. The ones in the Legacy, like most older cars, are pathetic.

Our Honda Odyssey has 10 for 7 people

I hate that little flimsy slide out cup holder I have in my BK-GT. It doesn't fit anything more than a medium drink from most places, it sags really bad with a large drink, it blocks my fold down JVC CD player from opening.. then there was twice when the slide out tray came completely out. Now I just drive like a man.. hot coffee resting between my legs and driving a manual transmission.

Well.. I mean if I want functionality we'll drive my wife's Hyundai Tucson GLS which has 6 cup holders for 4.5 people.

Yea, the cupholders in our cars suck. Mine used to have a rear cupholder, until it broke about half a year after it was bought. But still beats the cupholders in my Ford. Those are about 1.5" deep and tiny right in front of the shifter, near impossible to get anything to actually stay in those cupholders.

Yeah we're spoiled. I learned to drive on a car with 0 cupholders.

Ditto. My first car ('77 Firebird) had none as well.
