chuck, the link you posted won't fit... at least it didn't fit mine

another option:

a front strut bar like so: http://cgi.ebay.com/Impreza-1994-1995-1 ... 27b083625e (http://cgi.ebay.com/Impreza-1994-1995-1996-1997-98-99-00-01-Rear-Strut-Bar_W0QQitemZ170465124958QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item27b083625e)

OP you have to get a front strut bar like so: http://cgi.ebay.com/Impreza-1994-1995-1 ... 27b083625e (http://cgi.ebay.com/Impreza-1994-1995-1996-1997-98-99-00-01-Rear-Strut-Bar_W0QQitemZ170465124958QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item27b083625e)

without the bump for the TMIC

WTF are you talking about. The one I posted is a direct metal replica of the carbon FHI. You have to put the bar in first then attach the ends. And this bar even has a cut out so you don't have to remove the bracket that holds the hood stand on the passenger side strut tower.

The bar has to go under the rain tray. You cant just slide the entire setup on and expect it to fit. Thats why you suggested the straight bar setup.

Either way i'v installed these type of bars on a few BD/BK/BG's
