Kind of Noob Question...LGT Springs in a 2.5i?

Worth the effort/expense? I don't want my Legacy wagon lowered due to the roads where I live, but I would like to improve the handling and stiffen the ride slightly. I also tow a 1,000 pound camper and would like to keep the trailer hitch off the pavement! :grin: Other suggestions are more than welcome.

Your ride height will drop "slightly" if you use the GT springs. As for the rear you will still be bottoming out just like you did with your 2.5i springs.

You should check out swapping to an Outback type strut/spring/spacer setup. You will be raised by an inch or two and have a firm rear when towing your trailer.

I have very little experience with 2005+ but 2000-2004 Legacy uses the same rear suspension setup as 2005+ and from what I'v seen Subaru has followed the same formula since 1996.

Would a set of H&R springs help? I know they would lower it slightly, but would the higher spring rate keep the rear from sagging as much?

H&R's will still sag in the rear. Remember that after you install any springs they will settle after a week or so.
