SL-i.net is an independent, unofficial enthusiast site that is in no way affiliated with or endorsed by Fuji Heavy Industries or Subaru of America.
Subaru and Legacy are trademarks of Fuji Heavy Industries and are used for identification purposes only.
okay, so I stole it from IWSTI, but...its good and concise and clear :D

Mark, you should add a disclaimer stating you stole the legal jargon from another site too.

Wow! I can't believe Subaru would actually do that. I suspect it was a legal decision and didn't pass through the Marketing Team first! They have certainly gotten an awful lot of their Subaru owners upset and insulted by it! And I can't say I blame them.
I hope they don't come and check the walls of my office at home. I've got Subaru stuff plastered all over it. But then, the house I suppose is my property... wouldn't I actually be doing them a favor?

A disclaimer would be nice. From reading that post I doubt we would have to change our name. If NASIOC is fine with Subaru then SLi should be. Worst comes to worst we might have to add "club" with SLi. I'll send Jeremy a pm on the thread and see what we can come up with.

This is old news - and only seems to be related to sites that manage to perform the function that most DEALERSHIPS should perform - that of a free and friendly information resource.
Ravensblade Impreza got shut down / name changed mid-2005.
If you guys started to make tee shirts etc and charged for them, and made even a slight profit, they would probably pursue whoever owns the domain name.

no kidding! dealerships only want the money, most dont care about the cars as long as they bring in the cash. i work for a (gulp) kia dealership and the salesman pretend to be enthusiasts but they really dont know squat about the cars and the service people could care less about the cars they work on. granted this is kia, and nobody takes pride in a kia, but in general i have noticed that this is how dealerships operate.

Notice one of the changes Jeremy has made. It says club at the end of Subaru Legacy International. We are still SLi and should have a disclaimer up anytime now. So everyone can sit back relax and post about something more interesting :smt023
